Even if they re-signed him, they would have had to. You think Fedoruk could have been looked on to be an enforcer this year? I doubt he'll be fighting many guys out West... And if he does, he's an idiot.

Best news I've heard all day. Time to call up the Cal and Minny and make offeres for Godard and Boogaard.

It could be because everyone is pleastantly upbeat about next season, instead of pessimistic about drafting JVR.

I find it ironic that Mike York and Fedoruk depart on the same day. Down, Mikey. It isn't that kind of Fridge.

Right now, I have: 1-a dirty monitor, 2-a severe stomachache, and now 3-Tears rollng down my face.

EDIT: The more I think about it, the less ironic I think it is. In fact, I think it was a planned move by the organization. How the hell else were we suposed to get rid of Lard Arse other than yelling, "Follow the Fridge......Follow the Fridge!!!!!!"

Thanks for being an appreciative audience, ladies. Heck, mini-camp is here. We have to get back into sarcasm mode. Somewhere Storm is preparing his asterisks.

i doubt boogey is going anywhere now...especially if homer doesn't want to spend more the $700-$800 for an enforcer...

it's gotta be reed low

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=In57mn_YaF0

or

eric godard
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=In57mn_YaF0

both cheap but effective...

Do we really need to trade for a heavy? Can't Eager get the job done? He's more than willing to fight isn't he? If we need some muscle call up Cote or someone from the Phantoms and let him play a few shifts and try to get some scraps in. Otherwise play 4 lines that can skate.

Ech....Eager as our top enforcer......ech......

we have Laraque, Orr, Avery, that idiot Janssen and others in our division. So, to answer your question, despite his ability to drop the gloves, no Eager doesn´t cut it.

Seeing as how Godard and Boogaard went to arbitration, and how Holmgren doesn't want to spend too much cash on Brash or Laraque, yes. A trade needs to be done. It's not that big of a deal, though, because the Flyers have tons of trade fodder.

Simply put, no. He's an agitator who likes to fight other players smaller than himself.
Quote:

RARELY will he fight another heavyweight.

Cote's a middleweight with more balls than brains. He'll repeatedly go after heavies for his teammates, but at this level Cote's bound to get hurt.

Plus, he should probably be kept with the Phantoms to save Downie's ass from being killed his first year in the AHL.

I never understand this. The fourth line's only going to see the ice for (on a good night) an average of ten minutes. I'd much rather see a player who can stick up for his teammates play for 6 minutes a night, while his linemates get plenty of time on special teams, as opposed to some other offensively inept fourth liner who happens to be blessed with mobility.

eager is willing to fight as long as it's not mcgratton

eager should be a royal pain in the ass that only drops the gloves to step in for a teammate...other teams announcers should talk about him like coatsey & dorney would dale hunter

eager = neil = asham = avery = bradley

H/W enforcer = orr = brash = laraque = mcgratton

cote = scott daniels = what can he do i'll run briere & gagne anyway

if hatcher was the hatcher from his dallas stars days i would be willing to not get an enforcer but we atleast need someone to play 35-40 games (NYR, PITTS, WASH, OTT, TOR, TB & selected western conference teams)

The doors had been taken off the Fridge.

It was time to put him on the curb.

Peppermint Fatties had melted into the fruit drawers.

I like Fridge - he's got a heart of a Flyer....but there's just not a place for him here for that price right now.
