Leetch night on January 20 is iffy. It's the weekend of NFL Conference Finals, so it's either, let's not do it because no one will come or it's let's do it because no one's going to come so if it's Leetch night then we'll at least get a packed house.

I think the March game is better.

I guess no games for me this year, unless I go to NY during the season.

The closest they come to me is Vancouver.

Or maybe Colorado

nope. the devils open by going to florida then ottawa then back to florida. I guess they are trying to rack up frequent flyer miles to get free flights later?

November 14th

The first game in the Devils new arena....

Every Rangers fan in the area should make an effort to go to that game...There would be nothing like seeing a sea of blue the first time the Rangers play at "The Rock."

And it would be great to see Gomez getting cheered for at his former team's arena.

I'm all for it. Can we get an entire section for our group from the board? Oh, and I mentioned the Atlanta thing in like the 3rd post of this thread... why do i get ignored all the time? Dammit. Go Rangers.

I'm already planning on it. I may try to make it to every game between the Rangers and Devils at The Rock since it isn't that much longer a trip from my house to Newark than it is to MSG.

From the city, easiest way is E train to World Trade Center, walk down the concourse and down into the PATH station. I think it's $4.00 roundtrip to Newark and it's about a 15-minute trip each way.

take a road trip with the Ducks.. haha, give them a call and ask them if you can get on the plane.. then steal the Cup (if it's there) and convince Getzlaf that NYC is where it's at..

I have never been to CAA before on public transport, is it easy/easier to get to the Prudential Center?

MUCH easier. The Meadowlands in general is an absolute nightmare to get to and from via public transportation - the only option is a special "event-day bus" from the Port Authority on NJ Transit. No trains run to or from there and traffic has especially been a nightmare recently due to all the construction going on.

My ex-girlfriend works in Newark and I used to visit her alot for dinner in the area and it is incredibly easy to get to. PATH train goes there from WTC and it's only 4 bucks, NJ Transit goes there from anywhere in NJ and from Penn Station and it's a little more and there are also buses from Port Authority.

Sorry to say I think our days of picking on the Devils for their lack of crowds is long gone

i just checked out the flipbook for the Prudential Center, and as much as I hate the Devils, players, etc. (and BOY do i!), "the Rock" looks GREAT.. pretty serious, Fire/Ice Lounge, restaurants, etc..

Nov. 14, lets set up the raid!

That looks absolutely awesome. Probably the nicest arena I have seen so far (looks alot like Nationwide Arena in Columbus from the pictures). I'll definitely be checking out the arena bar as well.

And I'm all for the 11/14 takeover too.

Yeah everything outside the upper deck is pretty expensive..although I have a feeling alot of those will be corporate seats. Still, you can get there from just about anywhere in New Jersey by bus or train, so that is going to make a huge difference.

Of course it will also help when Rangers fans without a car (like myself) or Flyers fans from Philly and South Jersey near SEPTA can get there easily and take over

Yeah, $100/ticket/game for a season subscription to sit in the bar at end ice??? seems a bit steep no...or is that bar located pretty close to ice level? or do you drink for free?
