The talent on both sides is fairish, but Warriner is too expensive ... and why would we trade Boucher without getting some scoring back? Calgary's 1 is going to be 12-18ish, not high enough to be really valuable.

Huselius is the scoring. I definitely would swing this even though I'm an Eriksson fan.

If it means getting a top 2 defenceman in return, I think Calgary would.


I wouldn't mind Meittinen either as we have no Finns on the team to talk to Kipper and most of the times, Kipper seems lonely in the locker room with no one to talk to in his own language.

Giordano is not signed yet, but he has been qualified.

This always makes me giggle. They're both Finnish, therefore they MUST be friends.

Now that I've thought about it more, I'll do this deal. Don't like that Huselius has eclipsed 50 points exactly once, and that doesn't instill confidence, but you have to take a flier sometimes if you wand to find a deal. Calgary wouldn't accept -- change the 1 to a 2 or 3 and then we're maybe in business -- but I like it from Dallas's end.
