The thing is i'm a center/RW, but i like tall sticks when most the time D-man have the tall sticks.
Yup. When I play D I use a stick that goes up to my mouth.
If I play forward I like my stick below the chin. I used to have one that went up to my collar bone. It was awesome for stickhandling but not much else.
Mine is up to my nose when i'm on my skates, and up to the top of my head on feet. I just have allways used a tall stick, when i use one that is at my chin it hurts my back.
Two or three inches below my chin on skates. It's great for stickhandling in tight spaces, and I haven't really noticed a change for the worse in my reach or shot after I began to use a short stick, so it's the perfect fit for me.
Just underneath my nose, whether it's ice or ball hockey, and I play wing. I've experimented with shorter sticks on several occasions, but it just didn't feel right.
I like mine to go to the tip of my nose, when I'm in shoes. It does to about my chin when on skates. I've tried to use the smaller and longer sticks, but it just didn't feel right.
About an inch under my chin when on skates. I play forward. I know my reach might suffer, but using a longer stick makes me want to straighten up, which hurts skating power and balance.
as i d-man i love a long reach but a long stick affects my shot so i give up reach to have a better shot but i find ways to make up for the lack of reach and i keep it around my lips on feet and just below my chin.
