probably Cherepanov...

he should be playing in a mens league..anything Cherepanov does in this tournament doesn't mean anything..

it's not always as simple as "the more hockey you play the better."

if that was the case why aren't there year round junior leagues?

does he need more international experiance?

if he does you recommend him getting it in a meaningless exhibition tournament?

He'll get his international experiance in the WJC..A tournament that means something..

Cherepanov should be preparing for his season with Omsk....Against competition that will make him a better player...
I don't see how this is such a bad thing, just so long as he doesn't get injured. If he has a bad tournament so what, nobody with any brains would write him off because of that. As far as I know he's never played in North America before so why not?

If he gets criticized for playing bad then good, maybe that will make him work harder this season into a better player. I don't see how its lose, lose at all.
agreed, great post

Well, people did write him off after he had a subpar 5 Nations tourney.

That's the way it is with prospects (and to some extent, even NHL players). If you don't reach or exceed expectations always and forever, there's "something wrong"

Tru but it's not lik he won't be able to erase the memory of 5 bad games with a strong season in the RSL.

People may write him off, but who cares? If that bothers him, well, too bad, he's going to have to learn to deal with pressure and high expectations sooner or later.

Hah, yeah right. Now that he has the "question marks", he'll be spending the rest of his career trying to avoid them.

TSN and RDS have the rights to broadcast the entire series. As such, I'd expect most if not all of the game to be streamed over the internet through RDS.ca and TSN.ca. I'm not positive, but they did that with the WJC and a couple other tourneys in recent years.

IMO Prospects shouldnt be babied, especially 1st rounders. If they are meant for stardom then pressure, criticism and everything else that goes with it should be motivators. If not then they can't handle it and they don't belong, ie Jessiman.

I think you have to be in Canada (or go through a Canadian proxy) to watch them though.

Ha, yeah, you're probably right. I'm accustomed to watching games through less than legal means, so I often forget that things aren't as easy as they seem to me.

Unless you're concerned about his trade value, as a Ranger fan who's main interest is seeing Cherapanov play in the NHL and reach his full potential, why would you care about question marks? If he sucks it up in this super series and then improves on his stats from last year in the RSL, I wouldn't be too concerned personally.

I'm not personally concerned, I think he'll be fine either way. I think it's probably good for him to play in this tourney and don't have a problem with it.

I'm just griping about things people do that annoy me.
