donald brasher and barnaby

its being reported that donald brasher would like to come back to the habs?...oh wait a minute here.he was interviewed and thats what he said?we should have took simon instead imho..now this too,Chris Stevenson was on the team 1200 in Ottawa and he just reported it during the Senators pre-game show that Barnaby is being persued by the Habs. not sure we need matthew(goin postal)barnaby....but there is one thing i can say,is we need an upgrade in the enforcer role.i mean langdon was more interested in playing wayne gretzky than droppin the gloves when they were smokin garon all night.langdon had 3 of our 5 shots in the first period,,,lol.this alone tell you how bad we were last night..lol..langdon is a great guys i like him but we need someone who can actually put a few away once in awhile...i got this funny feeling barnaby is hab bound..i just wish it was simon instead...

I would love to see either Barnaby or Brashear on the habs. While Barnaby usually get beat in fights, he always sticks up for his teammates and does what he can. Brashear can rock anyone in the league and is one of those meanass players I talk about. They are also decent hockey players, definitely upgrades over Langdon, Kilger, Juneau...

Barnaby on Ribeiro's wing may give Ribs and Ryder a little breathing room. Dagenais just looks so out of place out there and that line,as it stands now is being manhandled lately. They require a little grit that Barnaby may be able to produce. He can also play the game.

Jokes between Brashear and Paul Buisson in Hors Jeu don't count as acceptable sources

You're speaking of jokes, well that's exactly what Donald Brashear is. He is an absolute joke of a hockey player, disgrace to the NHL as far as I'm concerned.

If Barnaby would be anything like Sean Avery for us, than I'd pick him up in a heartbeat. You add a guy like Barnaby, and all of a sudden the bottom six looks very promising.

I would. But I'm a big dude, so I can.

I for one don't want any part of what Barnaby and to a lesser extent Brashear brings to the game. Both are nothing but distractions.

I agrre with you.

Earlier this year I was blasted because I said that Langdon was not earning his money, Quintal, Souray, even Bouillon and Rivet are fighting more than Langdon. He's probably a good guy and so on, but the habs acquired him (drafted him) to do some dirty work. We all the forwards coming back in the line up soon, he could spend some nites in the press box. Too bad, the habs did not trade for Simon, a real, scary and skilled enforcer !

Chris Nilan played in a different NHL in the 80's when hockey allowed fighting to defend it's players, that has been gone since the instigator rule came in.

Plus you can't lay the blame on one player if his role is to fight, he gets the green light from CJ...Langdon doesn't make the calls all the time.

I don't like Barnaby, period. He's a yappy goof who causes more trouble than he's worth. We have a great reputation among the refs, and I'd like to keep it that way.

Just how big are you? I'm 6'3, 200 pounds and would definitely not say that to Brashear's face.

Quintal ,Souray ,Rivet and Bouillon fighting more than Langdon? That has to be the stupidest thing I've read on this board.

Langdon has 13 fighting majors this season. (McCarthy, Boulton, Peters 3x, Oliwa 2x, Simon, Doull, Belak, Johnson, Buchberger and Simpson)

Rivet has 4 FM
Bouillon has 4 FM
Souray has 4 FM
Quintal has 3 FM

We all agree that Simon is a better hockey player but he's also making at least 4x what Langdon's making.

Darren Langdon has done a great job for us this season and to even think about putting him in the press box for supposedly not doing his job is plain STUPID.
