What do you predict Syracuse's lineup will look like come opening night?
My prediction is this come October 12th, now granted they haven't even played a game, yet so I may do another one following the last pre-season game.

With a large number of forwards attempting to make that bottom six (Ouellet, Avtsin, Fortier, Ranford, and Hagel being prominent). Geoffrion, Leblanc and Palushaj seem locks for top line duty if available, Gallagher probably has a stranglehold on 2nd RW.
Defense is more stable. Unless there's a breakout from camp the top 7 will be
2 AHL veterans: St. Denis, Nash
3 CHL stars: Beaulieu, Ellis Tinordi
2 recent NCAA graduates: Stejekal, Pateryn
Also there is the enforcer Hagel, who might play defense or wing depending on how things shake out
St. Denis and Nash will be in the top 4 to start, the CHLer's have the most talent in the group and will sort themselves out in the top 5 according to current readiness, the NCAA guys are potential bottom pairng guys with a definate edge to Pateryn over Stejekal. And Hagel may be in the lineup but not for his hockey skills.
Tinordi-St.Denis
Nash-Ellis
Beaulieu-Pateryn
seem like likely pairings.
Desjardins will start, one of Mayer or Delmas as backups. That's the one area this team is strong, Desjardins is a great tender at the AHL level.
It would be a strong lineup in a normal AHL year, not so great for a lockout. Unfortunately, Subban and Eller are a season too far into their NHL careers to be eligible for this campaign. That would be a competitive squad.

From what I have heard which was not much he hasn't even been mentioned by the CRUNCHES blog writer Lindsey Kramer other than a line on Saturday on Twitter until today and it said he was assigned to the Florida Everblades along with Goaltender Pat Nagle.
OKC already was a favorite to get to the Calder, they are the most talented team in the AHL by a landslide, and that was before Taylor Hall. Now that it sounds Hall will find his way to OKC, that only helps their chances.
All this talent looks good on paper, but all bets are off once the regular season gets here. Many teams have been stacked on paper, but failed to come together with any chemistry whatsoever.
Eberle and RNH are the first to the arena everyday, and the last to leave from what I can tell. They consistently stay after, or get their early to watch the other group's session. Refreshing to see that they have no ego. Two most skilled guys in the AHL, and two of the hardest working on top of that.
From the standpoint of an IceCaps fan, I hope the lockout lasts long enough to get to see some impressive talent come into town but end part way through the year. The caps look like they will have a good team this year, along with many other teams but the difference is, once a lockout ends most teams will look very different. The IceCaps will lose just a few players and will still be strong with lots of chemistry heading into the end of the year.
My prediction is this come October 12th, now granted they haven't even played a game, yet so I may do another one following the last pre-season game.

I doubt Palat gets sent down, great with Norfolk last year.
Cuts were announced Sunday morning. Cam Reid was released and Aronson, Roussel, and Bouvet-Morrisette were shipped down to Cincy. Shalla and Zoltan Hetenyi (G) also went to Cincinnati.
