How so??

Do you really feel Jägr playing in the KHL is relevant to his current playoff performance after he's had a whole season to get back into NHL hockey? I don't think it matters at this point.

Yeah, I don't get it either. Jagr's doing what he is at 40, Lidstrom at 42. I don't get how Jagr's time in the KHL hurts him in the comparison - one could argue that it benefited him to stay in shape playing less physically intense hockey

In addition to the 2 year age difference, Jagr has played 1518 NHL games (regular season + playoffs), whereas Lidstrom has played 1886, a difference of 367 games which is equivalent to 4.5 full regular seasons. Jagr does have quite a bit more international play (at least in terms of what's readily listed, such as on Hockey-Reference), but it's debatable how much that offsets the amount of mileage Lidstrom has on his body from the NHL.

Of course, this is all fairly off-topic with regards to peak.

Yeah I was just going to say, how the hell does a 40 year old Jagr vs a 42 year old Lidstrom have anything to do with the actual topic?

That's somewhat disingenuous. Jagr played three seasons over in Russia, its not like he was sitting on his lazy boy.

Deleted. Not necessarily relevant to peak as another poster pointed out.
