The rest could do very well, but it wouldn't be surprising if any of them never reaches Myers's level. I'll keep Myers. Edmonton can keep spinning their tires. Eventually they'll gain some traction and take off, we hope.
I never get this attitude from posters. Someone doesnt agree with the trade so they spout "thats fine good luck with..."

Only problem is its not the oilers who are wanting to trade with Buffalo, its Buffalo who wants the top 2 pick. So it is fine we will gladly take a player at 2nd overall instead of taking on 7 mil in capspace and a decent d prospect.

Well it was the other guy who started the bickering, and this is a trade proposal thead so it doesnt matter who starts it because we have no idea what our GMs are thinking, just because the fan base doesnt want to move the pick doesnt mean that your GM doesnt, I would imagine that your GM will call Regier, Lombardi, George Mcfee about a stud defenceman involving that pick. Buffalo would be crazy to consider moving and established player in Myers for a draft pick.

On a side note HF really overvalues draft picks, Picks > Players which I dont understand

22 points in 20 games since the trade deadline, and how many more could there have been? The kid is undoubtedly the next Giroux IMO. Superstar in the making. The light bulb went on for him, it's not about to switch off. Look what he did for Stafford's career; I mean, that guy was everyone's scapegoat until Ennis came along and saved his ass. Foligno too... That kid isn't a ppg unless he's with Ennis. He was the best player on the ice game in and game out for the last month, unless they were playing Pittsburgh.

Sorry man I think Edmonton already has the next Giroux, his name is Jordan Eberle.

i hope you are right. let's see if he contributes in more than 20 games next season..

but right now i think his value isn't as high as myers.

[QUOTE=Nuke;47457423]Pair of deals. This is assuming Columbus and Edmonton are picking 1-2 after the Draft Lottery.

To Columbus:

- Derek Roy
- Luke Adam
- Corey Tropp
- 2012 1st Rnd Pick (Buffalo)
- 2012 1st Rnd Pick (Nashville)
- 2012 2nd Rnd Pick (Buffalo)
- 2012 2nd Rnd Pick (Calgary)

To Buffalo:

- 2012 1st Rnd Pick (Columbus)

- Mikhail Grigorenko

Could this deal happen now that they have the 2nd overall pick

Buffalo Drafts:

- Nail Yakupov
- Mikhail Grigorenko

Willing to add more if need be.
Being a Oil King fan I would say the Oilers get shafted with this offer, Pysyk might be a good 3/4 Dman, but he's not the top pairing Dman the Oilers are looking for. Thomas Vanek would be nice to have, but would rather have the NAIL, and I'm not a Yakupov fan.
