"Failure to control players" fine

I've seen this issued exactly once. Have I missed other instances?

Feb. 12th of last year, as the fall out to the Isles - Pens melee, to the Islanders, of course.

The Isles have had 6 suspensions in the past 3 years, the clubhouse lader of course is 17, with the Flyers, and the Penguins who were the other combatant in that game and AGAIN in this wild series (An odd common denominator, no?), had 16.

How come no other organization gets dinged for 100k when their teams are clearly more out of control?

Ottawa got fined 10K for the Konopka incident...

I think we all knew the intentions of NY Islanders. They weren't happy with a hit clean by Talbot, or the punch to the face by Brent Johnson when he fought DiPietro.

What happened in Game 3 of PHI-PIT started (and hopefully ended) in that game. If some crap happens again in Game 4, then look for the NHL to do something.

Here’s a handy dandy point of reference:

PHI 9 Suspensions, 4 Fines

PIT 8 Suspensions, 4 Fines

NYI – 8 Suspensions, 2 Fines

WAS – 6 Suspension, 1 Fines

VAN – 6 Suspension, 4 Fines

NYR – 3 Suspension, 6 Fines
---
What is so hard about a uniform standard? A teams 3rd player suspension results in a 100K fine with the sum being given to Hockey Fights Cancer. A teams 3rd fine results in a 50K donation.
