If Toronto played Montreal in the 2002 & 2013 playoffs do they win either series?

I wonder what everyone's opinion would be if Toronto had ended up playing Montreal in both the 2002 and 2013 playoffs, because in both those years it came very close to happening and if they win either series?

In 2002 If Montreal doesn't blow their lead in Game 4 against Carolina chances are they would have won that series and went onto play Toronto in the Eastern Conference Finals. So between them which team wins and moves onto the Stanley Cup Final against Detroit?

In 2013 If Boston manages to defeat Ottawa in the last game of the regular season it would have dropped Montreal to 4th place in the Eastern Conference and a first round series against Toronto. So does Montreal have that same meltdown we saw against Ottawa when they lost to them in 5 games?

2013 I don't know, its hard to say. But 2002 for sure. How that team lost to Carolina is beyond me. I was hoping for a Montreal/Toronto series. We haven't had one since 1979 and haven't had one since 1967 where the series was in doubt.

2004 is another year I wanted them to meet but neither got out of the 2nd round. It would be a great series nonetheless. Even this year I was hoping for it.

It's funny because in both 2002 and 2004 Montreal defeated Boston to reach the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals those years. Plus in 2002 Montreal was the 8th seed and in 2004 they were the 7th seed.

2013 was a fluke for Ottawa and 2002, Montreal had nothing to do in the cSF to begin with.

Montreal was significantly better in 2013 (but Budaj?) and Toronto was significanly better in 2002. Tl;dr.

The Leafs and Habs actually would have met up in the first round both of those years had Boston not won the division title, edging out the Leafs by a point twice.
