Is he really better than Benn, Ovi, Panarin, Marchand, Gaudreau, Hall etc? I dont think so, but he is a damn good player, top 10 imo.

Zetterberg
you mean the Zetterberg that outscored Forsberg by 10 points this year(while leading his team in scoring by 20 points as opposed to being third on his own team)?

Zetterberg is a Center so it's all a moot point anyways but

I think he's close and there's a good chance he is there soon, but for now I put him in the 5-10 spot. I think he's definitely top 10 though and have little issue with guys that think he may have squeezed into the bottom end of the top 5 already.

I would say no for now.. probably top 10 though.

He is a great player and a goalscorer, hope he'll do well in the rest of playoffs as I've jumped on Predators bandwagon as far as who I want to see take the Stanley Cup.

How? Forsberg so far has proven he's a 30-30 player. Panarin is a better hockey player even without Kane.

How? Obviously it's not all about scoring, but Panarin has scored 29 more points over the past 2 seasons with consecutive 77 and 74 point seasons - Forsberg's best season trails those by 10+ points. And it's not just because of PP points - he's put up 110 ES points vs 86 for Forsberg over to that time period. Forsberg is the better defensive player but I can't imagine that makes up for the difference in production, especially considering the fact that they are wingers.

Playing with Patrick Kane helps, but I'd argue he's done just as much for Kane as Kane has done for him. And of all the great players to play alongside Kane (Hossa, Toews, Sharp, Saad etc), Panarin has proven to be the most productive and had the biggest impact on Kane's productivity.

Besides, it's not like Forsberg doesn't have any talent to play with - he's got a tremendously talented offensive d core behind him and gets to play alongside Johansen, Arvidsson, Neal etc.

Option 3 for me. Behind Ovie, Benn, Marchand and possibly Gaudreau.

Without a list in front of me of all the LW's I'd say he's close...definitely top 10.

I'd have Ovi, Benn, Marchand clearly ahead. I feel that both Pacioretty and Forsberg suffer a bit from having less offence around them than some of the others. I'd put Patches fourth. Then Forsberg in the mix for number five. What he's done on a team without a lot of star forwards is actually pretty impressive.

He is clearly argued in top 5. Going late into playoffs helps anyones case.

On a completely unrelated topic...Ovechkin probably doesn't even hold that #1 LW spot anymore. His game is falling pretty quick IMO. (Also a big Ovi fan.)

Forsberg has tremendous skill as he already has shown. If he can follow up next year with even better numbers and *HOPEFULLY* a cup win this year then I'd say he has slotted himself in the top 5.

Benn has been in the top spot for the last three years.

Debatable. I'd say Ovechkin was better in '15.

He's right there if his PP totals normalize next season to more of his norm. 3 PPG and 9 PPP last season and still a 30+ goal season bodes well for him as a player that is not solely dependent on the PP to produce. I expect a 70 point season in the not too distant future.

1a 1b - Benn/Ovie

2 - Marchand

3 - Panarin

4 - Forsberg

5 - Patches

6 - Gaudreau

That's how I would place them

For sure 5-10, with an argument for 4 or 5.
