I hate it, but Nuge was out and Horc was getting equipment work or something. As good as Gagner has been, you can't triple shift him. And most of our wingers would have no clue how to play center properly.
I was just looking at some stats and noticed that Dubnyk has allowed 6 goals on 11 shootout shots this season. That is horrible. 21 goalies have faced 10 or more shots in the shootout this year. 19 of them have a better save percentage than Dubnyk. Only Lehner is worse.
Why manage Brown and Petrell's ice time for the entire game and then waste it all by deciding to throw them on the ice in the third period with a one goal lead?
Why give Petrell Yakupov's icetime after his awful penalty killing lead to the 3-2 goal, and his line lead to the 3-3 goal?

Don't need to look at stats, just watch him as a our number 1 starter, and on most nights, you know he's horrible
Who cares about what is acceptable or not? The world doesn't revolve around what should be, but around what is.
And what is... is that the Oilers are not experienced at holding leads, nor even being in a playoff run. why are people so mad when they fail to do, when that should be pretty much expected?
Let's ask the players what their attitude is. That is all that matters. Do you think they expect to lose? Do you think they are not passionate? Do you think they don't care? The Smid clip is all the evidence I need. If that is their attitude why can it not be ours as well?
