Maybe a 5th round pick for Della Rovere and a 7th rounder. He got demoted to the ECHL at the start of this season. Not a good sign.

That was only because he was coming off a long term injury. Value is still about right though.

Yeah sure I'd do that. SDR doesn't really add anything of significance so not sure why EDM would really want him.

Because he's not going to play on the Oilers. Anything for him would be nice. Della Rovere is still very young, and our minor team needs some grit. If he makes the jump to the NHL at all, that's just gravy.

Somebody gets it.

Della Rovere's value is what he brings to your AHL team, and the example he sets for other prospects as to what is expected from them as a professional hockey player, not what he is capable of on NHL.

I think Della Rovere might get a cup of coffee in the NHL, but not much more. I just don't see anything that he excells at enough to get him into the NHL, and he just isn't quite good enough all-around. (And I like the guy, was so pumped when the Blues got him.) He may develop a bit more, and become a useful 4th liner on a cheap contract, but I wouldn't expect anything more than that from him. Even that might be asking a bit much.
