Bah, playing against a brick wall. Congratulations Modo, reaching the final in both J18 and J20 is quite impressive.
But I absolutely hate this playoff format, how could they decide to go from best of three to single elimination on neutral ground? It would be much better for player development, and for growing the interest in junior hockey if they had stepped up to best of five and made sure to get a tv deal in place.
I left the TV after the 2nd period, but the only player that really caught my eye before that was Timashov. Great speed and stickhandling on that kid, could be an interesting prospect if he works on his vision.
Wikegård writing on twitter that this weekend is a test if there's interest for the league, and if it is he/some others will work for it to become a regular broadcast.
Oliver Kylington is just as good playing center as D. He carried SSK in J16 SM, could grab a spot on the senior team next season like Rasmus Andersson did.
Aho gets best D in J18 even though he has only played 5 games there this season.
J18:
Best goalie: Linus Söderström, Djurgårdens IF
Best defenceman: Sebastian Aho, Skellefteå AIK
Best forward: Oskar Lindblom, Brynäs IF
Playoff-MVP: Adam Brodecki, Brynäs IF
J20:
Best goalie: Linus Ullmark, MODO Hockey
Best defenceman: Robert Hägg, MODO Hockey
Best forward: Filip Sandberg, HV 71
Playoff-MVP: William Karlsson, HV 71
As per mms.se the J20 broadcasts on TV4 Sport had between 28k(morning games) and 56k(afternoon games) viewers. That is fully in line with their bandy, floorball, Europa League & Champions League(ladies) broadcasts.
Hopefully that's enough for some regular broadcasts next season!

Great, I wonder if they'll try to pair the broadcasts with SEL games, for example playing J20 before SEL games and using the same equipment and manpower.

That sounds like a good way to do it, especially on Saturdays. J20 game starts 12:00, Elitserien starts at 16:00. Or J20 at 14:00, Elitserien 18:30. That would keep the production costs down like you said. Wikegård takes double shifts.

A lot of journalists are hyping Oskar Lindbom, is he that good. Impressive that Brynas can produce so many good forwards (and golies).
