Turns out she was related to Wojtek Wolski. She said he was unhappy in Phoenix, it was too much like a vacation all the time. Didnt think much of it until next week he was traded to the Rangers lol

In Cape Town, South Africa I went into a sports store that was selling authentic NHL jerseys. They had jersey's of the Maple Leafs, Rangers and Flyers.

its not a "small town" perse but i was in perth, australia and saw another islanders fan. Completely took me by surprise.

Born in IL, but moved to Arkansas for the last three years of high school a couple years ago. At my high school, I met two Pens fans , a Caps , Blackhawks, Bruins, and Habs fan. Hockey is everywhere now.

Like others have posted, kinda not the same thing, but I did an ambulance ride-along in Vegas and randomly got matched with a dude who's a Ducks fan. This was Tuesday night before the Sharks-Ducks game, and he spoiled parts of it even after I told him I was recording it. It's cool though, I got the last laugh.
