Well, one reason for these bankruptcy speculations could have been owner's (Viner) divorce:

"But the couple was able to agree quickly agree on a settlement. Viner will keep the team, as well as both homes. Other terms of the divorce settlement were not included in the Herald story, but it is very likely that the former wife received substantial assets in return for giving up her claim to the Panthers and the properties."

So speculation could be that he doesn't have enough assets to support the team, on the other hand, article states:
"team described as financially "the healthiest it has ever been""

Get back to us when they start charging normal ticket prices and when the team is doing poorly again. The arena will be empty again.

Considering Detroit has had problems selling out playoff games, even SCF games, and the Yotes gave tickets away..... a sellout is a sellout.

so sorry Youre going to have to wait a long time for that to happen with the number one ranked prospect pool in the league.

Find a different team to steal, Quebec fans, it wont be the panthers.

Blame your local business leaders for apparently not being interested. I'm sure that if some billionaire, or group of millionaires, executive came to the NHL and said that they were interested in acquiring the Yotes and moving them to Houston, they'd jump past Seattle and Quebec City in a heartbeat in regards to likely relocation candidates.

Until that happens though, Houston's in the same boat as KC.... having everything but an owner.

I think we've moved well beyond any evidence that would support Florida is having financial difficulties of this magnitude.

If there's new information, someone can start a new thread on that basis.
