Yeah...same thing when I worked for the NBA. Had a contingent of friends who would follow me to where the All-Star game was taking place. I never had tickets for them a week in advance...but once we found out from our Marketing Partnership group how many sponsors DIDN'T end up coming, I was given a handful to pass around to whomever came- about a day before the game.

If you are willing to gamble...and you know someone who gets access...you can wait and hit the jackpot. Just depends on the event and if the holds are used.

This may not be the thread, but since you seem to check it so often and have a direct line to management, can you please let whoever needs to know that the marching band was an absolutely phenomenal touch.

The only thing that would have made it better is if the "music" (not the organ, obviously) and incessant yelling over the PA was toned down.

I can't praise those kids or the atmosphere they helped facilitate enough.

So what kind of hell on earth is the ticketing department preparing for if we get home ice in the second round and game 1 is Sunday afternoon? They'd have 48 hours to sell thousands of tickets and squeeze in a presale that they promised a bunch of people.

Yuck. As much as I want both the Devils and Senators to win, the above would trigger the "thermonuclear ticketing bomb" that I spoke of before the playoffs, and would once again embarrass our fan-base. Be prepared for lots of the, "You have no fans" nonsense. Then again, I'll gladly take whatever abuse comes our way so long as the Devils survive tonight.
