So is David Oliver a new director of player development or is that old news? Saw it on Twitter a day ago. Seems like a decent move because he sure seems to know his stuff and invites good players to Lake Erie

Monsters schedule has been released. It's pretty boring and repetitive as AHL teams play their division 10x. Grand Rapids looks to be the new Rochester this season 6 games against them in the first month and two preseason games on top of it. Only real road trip is in March.

Add Nate Condon to the mix now up front. More depth this year.

Especially considering getting 4 guys from the Avs too, the Monsters are going to have much more depth now too. Last year when injuries hit bad they were grabbing guys on loan from the ECHL and signing PTOs.

Good to see, was hoping that Gus Young would slip under the radar as well and get an AHL deal. I think he'll do well and earn himself a two-way contract with the Avs. Really good PK instincts.

I wonder if Young chose to stay close to home because he signed in Worcester.

Really curious who else the Monsters signed.

I'm glad to see I was at least half-right about the AHL deals.

Did he sign with the Monsters or the Aves? I'm guessing the Monsters but would love to be wrong.

That is great news about Condon!! I fully expect him to earn an ELC after the season.

He wore that at Ilves yes if I remember correctly.
With the picture he tweeted:
Quote:
Kiitos @WallMasks, huikeeta työtä taas kerran!
which translates to "Thank you @WallMasks. Amazing work once again!"

Also the lion on the back is the coat of arms of Finland.

I wonder why 74, that's unusual for a goalie number. I like it when players wear numbers that are personal to them for whatever reason so I'm always interested in what they end up wearing.

Well I took a shot and asked him on twitter of the origin of the number.
Doubt he will answer though.

I like Aittokallio's mask. Distinct lack of LE Monsters on it though
Wonder what the writing on the chin says.

He saw Berra's games last year and was like... I got this in the bag.
