Could the Bruins actually miss the playoffs?

Here's a fun fact:

If it weren't for the Bruins 5-0 record against the Leafs this season, Boston would be fighting tooth and nail for the final playoff spot in the eastern conference.

Nonetheless, if the Bruins get healthy, they should not be underestimated in the first round of the playoffs.

It all went downhill after Miller head-butted Lucic up high.

It is possible sadly. Don't think it's gonna happen though.

Unpossible. Take it to bank. They have 8 points in hand on #9th seed, with Bruins with an extra game advantage.

So if the Bruins make playoffs by just a handful of points, Bruins fans should love the Leafs for salvaging the Bruins regular season. In contrast, if the Bruins don't make playoffs by a handful of points or less, Bruins fans should hate Carolina for ruining the Bruins season. It's actually quite interesting that the Bruins regular season could be shaped by either a dominant series against the Leafs or a poor series against the Canes.

They banked too many points, so they won't miss the playoffs, but they have a real shot at finishing 7th or 8th.

Either way, it's nice to see them lose, as it has really shut up a lot of their incredibly smug fans. Makes the "Let's just hand the Stanley Cup to the Bruins right now" threads earlier in the year even more ridiculous.

I'm sure they'll blame it on injuries, which is especially hilarious, considering that they have the least man games lost, and injuries are the only reason they ended up winning the Stanley Cup last year.

I don't think so but I could see them being eliminated in 4 in the playoffs.

Hate to say this as a Bruins fan, but I can totally see them getting swept in the playoffs. I can see them getting a bit healthy when the playoffs start, but then swept in the 2nd round similar to the Flyers last year. Hoping I'm wrong tho.
