Just spitballin here, pretty happy about the talent on this team regardless.

We just need a coach that can deploy it properly.
I like your thinking. Certainly worth a go.

Top 2 lines

Hemsky Hall Yakupov
PRV/Hartski RNH Eberle

Wow.

That may be the case, but I think he would like to play with skilled players rather than plumbers. He certainly didn't seem to mind riding shotgun at times with Eberle and RNH. IMO he just wants to play where he has the best chance to succeed if that happens to be on his offwing playing with Hall and Yak well I don't think he will be complaining to much.

If Hall goes to centre, I think Eberle goes to LW, since he's a right handed shooter.

Eberle-Hall-Hemsky
Paajarvi-RNH-Yakupov
Hartikainen/Smyth-Horcoff-Jones
Eager-Belanger-Lander

Gagner, Paajarvi, Peckham, Marincin, Davidson, Blain, Rieder could all be trade bait for defensive help.

Absolutely. I could see him playing 3rd line RW and 1st unit PP with a d oriented centre like horcoff or Belanger. Mps or Smyth playing the LW on that line.

This makes sense.

Yeah, my thoughts as well. Except maybe 2nd unit PP.

Harti - RNH - Eberle
Hall - Gags - Hemsky
MPS/Smyth - Horcoff - Yakupov

Hemsky and Yakupov on the 2nd unit PP would be great. Hemsky usually is left half boards and Yakupov is always ready for the one-timer at the right top circle. Have Gags down low playing the goal line, and Smyth as the body up front. With a LHS at point, which will probably end up being Whitney.

PP2
Gagner-----Smyth
Hemsky
-----------------------Yakupov
------LHS (Whitney?)

PP1
----------Horcoff---------
-----------------------Hall
Eberle----------------------RNH
------------RHS (Petry?)

Can't see how those units will not be the #1 PP in the league.

I have a feeling that everyone me included trying to fit him into the top six, may not need to.
