Forgetting the poor sightlines of sitting in a stadium to watch a hockey game, I am quite confident that the Bears will do a great job with the non-hockey details of the game.
I almost went to that game. My sister-in-law lived down the street. Fairgrounds Road is mostly winding 2 lane road coming from her house. The two gates that I am familiar with are not narrow, but they aren't wide either. It doesn't make a difference about the freeway access, the slow step is turning into the gates and then parking. I have been there during the State Fair. Traffic was bad and that wasn't 20,000 people all trying to get in at the same time.

You did yourself a favor by not going to that game. It literally took an hour and a half from 2 miles from the exit to the "parking lot" which had no attendants or anyone directing where people could park. I was at that 2 mile mark 90 minutes before the game was supposed to start, which was delayed, and missed opening face-off.
