With all the talk on goalies...Here are my top 5 at the moment. This is not strictly based on this year, but on past years as well.

Martin, Zawadski, Lane, Rivers.....for the best newer goalies to the league with whom I have had less looks: tremblay, couvrette and cooper.

Numbers dont mean everything this early in the season. A lot is based on the styles with which there team plays in front of them. However good goalies will steal games and stats will even out.

I like your thoughts, but after tonights 5 games and 53 goals or an average 5.3 GAA for every goalie, something is in the water.

I like Zawadski but he is having a rough start. Martin was average the other night against Cornwall. I like Gunner but he has no team in front of him.

Agree. You show up at the rink and you never know who to pick.SF taking two from CP on the same weekend? Cumberland with a winning record? Nepean 5th in their division? Sorry goalies, but it's been a great start to the season.

SF/Gloucester followers, what is the scoop on Patrick Sexton, he appears to bring offense, what about defensivley and physicality. Any thoughts

I think the one thing everyone on here can agree with, is the league has Parity....

1st through 9th seperated by 5 points. I know it's early, but nice to see that the league is looking competetive nearly top to bottom!

Interesting that the only team to beat CPC and OJS so far this season is not on this list, and that is SF Bears. Shame on the commissioner for allowing this conspiracy to happen.

Their highest ranking goalie is 9th in goal tending statistics.

The only thing the OJS do is win. They find a way.

I guess the OJS didn't listen to self proclaimed experts like Eddyshack and Ottawafan66 who continue to bash our players in this league. I wish they would just return their tickets for a full refund. (Eddy Shack to Nepean Raiders and Ottawafan66 to Smiths Falls.)

Kudos have to be given to the coach Rick Dorval for finding the right chemistry to win.

As these critics (who have never played a hockey game in their lives) point out that the numbers will change because it is early and blah blah blah. I have my fingers in my ears and not sure where these guys have their fingers buried. These guys don't know a thing about playing hockey with heart.

Anyways congratulations to the OJS. No matter what happens in the rest of the season.

And by the way I am not the father of any goalie.
ottawafan66 is not a bears fan....a little north

That is North !

JC has put together another elite team. If you are die hard CPC fan, we all wait until JC blows a gasket and implodes. Perhaps not this year.

I would rank them #1 at this time.

Especially with their "stellar" goal tending. I understand they have the best goalie in the entire free world.

But it is early in the season.

I also like what is going on, I am the first to admit writing off Cumberland Grads and Gloucester Rangers.

I also predicted pre-season that the Colts would be "competitive" and finish 4-5. I still believe that will be the case but the League is far more competitive than anyone envisoned.

It is apparent that any team can win on any given night. Teams have to earn their points.

It could a very good hockey year.

I guess if you call having 8 division one scholarships imploding as a third year team....imploding it is.....funny how alot of posters attack CP and JC....and all they have done is raise the bar in this league....ya seems JC is hard on his players...but im sure the player and his parents are happy when they get there 125k in school money...

Losing in the finals two years in a row with the best team in the league...what would that be called?

Word out of Colt land is that Ian is hard at work look for a true number one goalie , with Jenkins on the trade block and Edwardson on his way back to the Jr B glens. The Glens good use some help in nets thats for sure!!
Has anyone heard what's gong on with the Dman Mark Hough from the Colts, rumor was in had some police trouble in Cwall??
Why hasn't any Jr A team pick up disgruntled former Colt Conner Primeau a two yr league vet, now playing JrB in Char-Lan ??
