Went to the Surly Taphouse today. It was a super cool place, but the wait times were RIDICULOUS.

Had to wait a half hour just to get a beer. 2+ hours if you wanted a table.

I've seen it on tap at a few restaurants, but I don't know if I've seen it in the two liquor stores I frequent.

BTW, here's a flawed but horrifying account of corporate greed.

AFAIK, Surly uses Ball, Summit uses Rexam ... I don't think it extends this far west.

Heady Topper however ....

Finishing up my Hennessy and bought this Berneroy Calvados XO as my first calvados. Too appley, don't like. Could take a drink or two for dessert with coffee and cake or something, but I can't use this to forget my life, too sweet.

Beer is really better in a bottle anyway.

I would like to see what wages these workers were making before I pass judgement in a situation like this.

Does it matter when Crown's bottom line doubled, their boss makes 12 million, and these workers were lauded for productivity and safety?

Went to the Badger Hill Brewery taproom in Shakopee last night.

You kind of have to know about it, it's in like an industrial park between Canterbury and Valleyfair. And there's not really a good sign to tell you where it is. But they had some good beers!

I think there was 7 on tap. We were there for probably an hour and a half, around 5:00, and there was a lot of people in there. Plenty of people coming in swapping out growlers, too.

My favorite was the Traitor IPA.

Yeah, but I've been to some places where union guys are ridiculously overpaid for truly unskilled labor jobs. I'm not going to paint them all with a broad brush, because I've worked alongside both good and bad union men and women, but I would like more info before jumping on one side of this.

I will agree though that no man on Earth deserves to make 12 million dollars a year (including athletes). Nobody risks enough, or has enough experience or training, or is in that much demand for that amount of money. I'd be fine with 1 or 1.5 for the boss, but the rest should go to the workers and stockholders.
