Well, Marner wasn't a first overall. On pace doesn't mean **** especially since Marner got 60+ pts.

What a terrible example lmao

Provorov is also absolutely far more valuable than Simmonds. And this is coming from a fan of Simmonds.

I doubt a single hockey fan disagrees with what I just said.

Exactly. And while IMO Rielly is better than Provorov now, in the future there is a well over 75% chance Provorov is better, IMO.

Ya, I'd agree with that.

I am willing to bet if Provy was on the Leafs, he would have used Provy against top lines so Rielly didn't have to overwhelmed by them.

Uhhh, it means that that both players mentioned, - Luke Schenn, (5th overall) and Yakupoc (player i mentioned) - had good rookie seasons, but never amounted to much afterwards.

Now, that being said, the likelihood of that happening with Marner is extrmely slim. But please, try to keep up.

Maybe try reading the other posts by Leafs fans? Not that hard.

I'll break it down for you:

Is what you said previously. Doesn't Provorov sound awfully similar to "a young top pairing dman who isn't done developing"?

What are you even arguing anymore? We agree that Rielly and Provorov have more value than Simmonds, let's move on.

This is all that needs to be said anyway about how your opinion should mean nothing. I'm done.

All of the Big 3 are close in value, potential and level of play, IMO, with Matthews as the best of the three by a small but clear margin.
Matthews has more value than Marner, because a) he's simply a better player, and b) he's a center. having a #1 franchise center is more important for a team than having a top line winger. Matthews is in the same league as Eichel. Marner is a step below those guys.

McDavid
|
Eichel/Matthews
Laine
|
Marner
Nylander

Besides McDavid the differences are miniscule.
