Goaltenders Juuso Riksman (from Blues) and Rasmus Rinne (from Peliitat, Mestis) to Ässät. Both contracts are for two years. Woo!

Center Henri Heino to Ässät from Jokerit. Woo!

Defenceman Patrik Parkkonen extends his current contract by a year and will continue till 2015. Woo!

Center Aki Uusikartano won't continue with the team. One heck of a guy and was a joy to have you in Ässät.

Jyri Niemi Connecticut Whale ,AHL -> HPK
Joonas Vihko Luleå -> HPK

Really interesting to see Niemi in sm-liiga; one of the hardest slapshots i have seen and he is still a young guy who has spent 6 years in north america. Vihko might do some damage with Viitaluoma and Sallinen.

Ville Nieminen stays, contract 1+1 years, Alexander Barkov,Juha Metsola and Tuukka Mäntylä also stay with the club.

And they said they are still looking for #1 center and a defender. If they don't lose Barkov to NHL and Mäntylä or someone else to the KHL, gonna be one scary looking roster for next season. Number one candidate for championship, I doubt anyone can get a better roster.

Agreed, they're looking very strong on paper. But if they end up losing Barkov and Mäntylä, it'll be difficult to find replacements, especially for Barkov. I've read rumors that he's leaving for NA, but we'll probably have to wait a couple of months to know for sure.
