To Vancouver: 2012 1st, Emerson Etem

Before anybody gets all in my grill about Kesler being traded and having no back up Center, I am COMPLETELY fine with running Schroeder as the #2 C next year. HOWEVER this means there has to be a further deal for a more elite winger than we already have (IE Nash), which is what I would like to happen down the road.
nope

EDIT: nevermind. Should've checked before I posted. Belarus have been in Pool A for longer than I thought.

Plus while Kesler got a silver medal, fancy talk for loser I'm sure, Grabovski managed to get an outstanding story to go with his police record.

If we are going to trade the #5 pick, this is the type of return I'd expect to get. Not Luongo, not Kiprusoff, not Iginla (all three of whom have been involved in proposals here in the past few weeks), but a high-end, first line talent. I believe is Kesler is that and I think a player like him could really compliment Lupul and Kessel (particularly his play on the other end of the ice), so I'd do this.

Not since 2004. Still, don't know how it is particularly relevant. Kesler, diving aside, is a much better player than Grabovski is.

Done from Anaheim's POV. Murray would be crazy not to take that deal if it were ever offered.

I'd make the trade, from an Anaheim persepective. But I can't see the Canucks losing Kesler and Hodgson both within 6 months or so, though.

Etem just got called up in Syracuse and scored the game winning goal to launch the Crunch into the playoffs, I agree this kids a stud and I'm excited to see what he brings in the playoffs.

From a leafs perspective I would be interested I could really see Kesler meshing well in a Caryle type system. He may be a "diver" but I mean the majority of the Nucks seem to be. Who is to say it is not just a system created by the coach?

Funny thing is Playmaker would be nice but in the end I would be content with a two way center who can cover Kessel's ass while having the ability to pot a few goals. I mean the thing about a playmaker they want to carry the puck the majority of the time and at the moment Kessel wants to as well and he does have nice passing ability so I mean it could work out.

Also Kesler >> Bozack.
