Actually, the current rumors have Drake Berehowsky as the new coach. Sorry no links as of yet. It was just mentioned in a couple of blogs so I am not attaching them until I hear confimation. Berehowsky was an assistant for Peoria who just fired Bednar. So it is possible. Interesting that the ECHL team would end up with a former NHL defenseman as the head coach whereas the AHL team and NHL team do not have one on the coaching staffs. OK Neraddine (Sp?) played some games in the NHL, but not like Berehowsky.

I was just coming here to post that. Well, this is what comes of checking out Rine. He tweeted about the sale to Savannah being official before and now this. Well, I give the new ownership credit for trying to develop continuity. I thought that they might try to bring in their own guy, but they stayed the course with Donatelli. It will be intersting to see how he does in bringing guys in. There will probably not be a whole lot of help from WBS this season. Looking over the WBS roster, the defense will not be quite as deep without Strait and Bortuzzo. I expect Merth to spend most of the season with WBS. Of course, there could be those depth NHL/AHL signings, but I am looking at the here and now. I can also see the forwards being a bit thin. Defazio and Chupp could spend all season up with WBS. Also, Manderson might get some time in WBS based on his previous playing experience with Bennett.
