Those of us who knew him best talk about him often. I swear, the stuff he pulled. It always makes us laugh. Sometimes it makes me sad, though, Jagr being gone. I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged, that's all. Their feathers are just too bright... and when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up does rejoice... but still, the place you live is that much more drab and empty that they're gone.
That was beautiful. I'll always remember the little bugger, he'll always remain a twinkle in my eye as a star that shines brighter than the rest.
So does this mean we won't have anymore Jagr fans telling us how we should cheer for our team or how Jamie Benn makes Jagr a worse player? That's a small victory right there. To the rest of you that were courteous and rooted for our team, it was a pleasure.
I'm not happy to see him go, but I see it as we're basically getting something for nothing at this point. I can't blame those that wish the something was a bit more. It is what it is. If Boston can make it to the ECF the 2nd becomes a first and I think we also get a 5th added if I understand correctly. Go Bruins.
Well it was fun while it lasted. Good luck stars fans, thanks for putting up with us crazy Jagr fans! I must admit i had fun watching him help this team, i wish you guys the best.

if you wanna just complain and wish to lose or to better say "tank" that sounds better right.. go ahead and have fun doding that.
On another note kinda sad for Jagr to leave Dallas, was hoping for play off this or next year, but seems dallas wants to work on next seasons, i got no problem with that.. i wish dallas and you folks luck and all best. im sure you will turn it around, its just question of time
im "moving" with Jagr, the guy that made me love hockey again, hate me all you like..
Cheers guys
Gonna miss him. Did some magical stuff here, and I'll never forget going to opening night and watching him put up 4 points almost effortlessly. Best of luck to him and the Bruins.

I'm glad you guys got what you wanted, the tank should be in full swing now.
Thanks for putting up with us. No offense meant and none taken.
This team just didn't quite have "it", and I guess I didn't realize it until it was almost too late. I can't quite put my finger on it, but there were a lot of clues: rumors of tuning out Gully... Whitney saying the younger players need to step up and become a leader... just not showing up, whether for periods or entire games.
Impressed with the fans here. There's not a lot of you in comparison to Rangers/Philly, but per person you guys are passionate despite the mediocrity and seem more educated.
Good luck, whether it's tanking this year or striving for the playoffs in the near future.
Kind of disappointed we didn't see a salute. (Unless I missed it). Never really liked Jagr before he was a Star, but he was fun to watch. Hope he does well enough in Boston to get them past the second round.
You can tell he was a little upset we decided to trade him. He used the word shocked a lot. Pretty sure he's not coming back in the OS for that reason.

That's a damn, damn shame.
A joke, really.
I'm thinking the only way he'd consider coming back at all is if Joe is gone, which, thank ****ing God he almost certainly will be.
Still a long shot.

Jagr must have liked Dallas quite alot, still hope he signs with Stars in the summer!

I think he's not coming back because he's shown himself to be valuable enough for a playoff team to pay him as much as the Stars did. He will have better teams to choose from in July than he did this past summer.

I would be surprised to see him come back. It would be nice if he did, but I don't think he will
I'd love to meet him yet again and get another jersey signed

low taxes, attractive women, low cost of living... good alumni programs... yep. Dallas is good to players.
Dallas is great. There is no pressure to win. You can go out to eat without anyone knowing who you are. You can play golf all winter long. The team will pay you generously. When the season winds down and you are thinking about the playoffs, the Stars will even find you a nice place to play.
Come to Dallas! Home of the six month paid vacation.

How did you get him to sign anything? He avoided the fans at Stars practice literally every time.
That meet and greet practice the Stars had in the American Airlines center - right before this season started in Jan. I drove up from College Station. Got a Flyers Jersey signed.
Previously met him in Philly too (at the annual Flyers Carnival). Had a photo signed... I was hoping to get my Kladno jersey signed next time. Oh well....
