Everyone's nuts. We need the season to start.

No, I was serious. The players weren't brought up last night. They were still listed as part of the roster. They just didn't play.

They were on their way to OC. I doubt they took a flight early in the morning. So, managment knew that they`ll gonna wave them.

A little more on the waivers mess, and correct me if I'm wrong but:

Maroon, Guenin, and Smaby need to clear waivers in order to continue playing in the AHL this season. This is basically because they were playing on AHL contracts signed after the lockout began. These contracts terminated once the new CBA was put in place.

Hendry was assigned to Norfolk in September after clearing waivers. As far as I know he doesn't need to go through waivers to keep playing in the AHL.

Sick of talking waivers. Any more info on it would be cool

They could have waited if they wanted to. There was nothing compelling them to put Maroon through waivers immediately. I'm not saying that they didn't know that he'd have to go through waivers. Waiting a few hours wouldn't have mattered.
