Wow do people hate Quincey on here. He is better than how he played for us in those 20 or so games.

Yep. So good in Colorado that he was a healthy scratch.

The Detroit Red Wings have turned into a landfill and Ken Holland is the garbage man.

He'll just have to prove you wrong this year then (if there is one)

Would be nice if he did. I just don't see it.

He had some moments were he was awesome, and some where he was terrible. Hopefully he'll find some consistency this year.

Alright Bobo stop using this. Use everything else you would like and I understand your complaints on Quincey. But a bad team was on a winning streak and would not change their lineup. The second it ended he came right back in. This is far from something a lot of coaches don't do around the league. The difference is the player usually doesn't complain and the team doesn't then have to acknowledge he is in fact a healthy scratch rather than still recovering from injury in the first place.

Amen.

Bobsy seems to be using Kindl's lack of playing time with Detroit to try and justify that he's a better d-man than Quincey. I'm not really sure how that works.

B.. b.. b.. but his even strength points are marginally higher while playing sheltered minutes! He has to be better! I mean its not like Babcock plays Quincey 7 more minutes a game for a reason guys

Kindl also had the worst even strength points per 60 minutes production on the team in his rookie season and that 48 game track record can not just be completely thrown out the window for the 55 game sample size of this past season. Both seasons have to be taken into account going forward. I'm also not sure if that is the best stat to use to evaluate a defenseman since a defenseman is asked to do a lot more things than just scoring points during even strength play. Its also strange for a poster to use one specific stat to form an argument when said poster proclaims they don't care about stats while mired in other debates that arise about other players (like Mikael Samuellson).
