Really played great tonight against the Griffins, skated hard and was dangerous almost all night. Very impressive performance, tip of the cap even as a rival fan.
He looked great when I went to the game on Wednesday. His stats aren't impressive but you can just see his talent if you watch the games... he is going to be a really good player in my estimation. The thing that I like best is that he is a good two way player, which I didn't know upon drafting him. He plays on the PK as well.
I've watched most Icehogs games this year and Saad is the one that has the most potential to me. He may have worse stats than guys like Jeremy Morin, Ben Smith, Brandon Pirri, Marcus Kruger, ect but they don't have the tools that he does either. I predict by the end of the year he will be racking up the points on Rockford...especially now that the forward depth isn't so crowded. No need to rush him on the NHL roster this season. I'd like to wait until next year and I'll bet he makes the team out of camp.
Speaking of which....1 goal, 3 assists, 4 points, 5 shots for Brandon Saad tonight. Deserved a night like tonight after being one of the few to play hard on Wednesday.

You should have quoted some of your earlier posts as well..
The guy just keeps playing his ass off every shift. If you love hockey and the way it is supposed to be played, watch a Hawks game and keep an eye on this guy. Determination all the time, fits this team like a glove.
Looks real good out there. Unfortunately for him, with 4 quality forwards on Chicago, racking up pts will not be easy.
Yeah, he looks great out there. It's a shame he hasn't gotten the production on paper but it's out there on the ice and the fact that Q continues to play him with Toews and Hossa despite minimal production (stats wise) shows it.
I like his game quite a bit. He impressed me in the game against the Canucks, he is very strong and works very hard on the boards. The hands look very quick and soft for a big guy too. Should be a good top six winger in the near future IMO, great pick for Chicago. Which kind of pisses me off.

Brian Burke's the one who traded the pick used to take him so the Leafs could threaten Kessel with an offer sheet.
The points aren't there yet, but he's playing like an NHL veteran. Commited on the back-check, draws sooo many penalties with his speed and determination and plays a 200 ft. game. He's doing all the little things well and he's getting/creating chances.. a bit more luck (like against ANA last night) and the points should start coming a little more consistently.
The points are coming, look out, wouldn't be surprised to see him end up in the Calder discussion near the end of the season. He'll get more PP time now with Sharp out.
