Seems maybe the Bruins just missed the boat on Souray/Ryder/Morrow or a combination. Hope that means no Ott in Philly or Vancouver, Ribeiro etc. too.
Parity sucks. There are like two teams that are in position to definitely establish themselves as sellers.

My holdup on the Nash trade was the idea that it would take Rask and Roster forward or Hamilton and OHL forward and pick.

If it was Rask, OHL forward, pick. I'd be all over that trade. I still wonder if CJ's system inflates the relative play of goaltenders anyway.

Pictures worth a thousand words.

And for those who HAVE seen them, they have no opinions, right?

For instance, I've seen Sauve play at least 20 times. I can honestly say IF he can stay healthy, he will be a serviceable NHLer. I've watched Knight play as much as I can, when the internet allows me a steam. You watch these players, you read what the insiders and experts say, you form an opinion.

But here on good ole HF , if people don't agree, they put you into a category of not knowing what you're talking about. That's fine. Fustrating. But it happens.

Gotta push hard for Brown now, IMO.

Ya beat me to it. I think Chia blew it by waiting. Rolston and Clitsome on waivers. Nostalgia aside, I think Rolston is a real possibility. He is not one I would want but a real possibility because of his PP proficiency. Rangers Salary dump Wolsk on Fla Nash or maybe Brown to the Rangers is almost a sure thing I think. Good for them. Not our year. ....

What we do is this. Jordan Caron was drafted a year before Knight. He's also 2 years older than him. He's had experience in Prov. Knight needed to go back and work on a few things. By all accounts he's done that and more. Caron didn't beat Knight. Caron is the 13th forward. Nobody wants Knight to sit there. He needed to work on things. And has. This will make him ready to go come camp. Caron SHOULD be ahead in terms of development. But other than a few bright spots I haven't seen it. Knight is better than half of those kids in Prov. Arguing that he "didnt beat Caron" is a moot point. Overvaluing a prospect happens. Underrating one happens too. I just see the potential in Knight. I'd rather give up Koko than him. That's just how I feel. You disagree. No biggie.
What are you basing this on?

I think that you have a high opinion of Knight just like other teams love their McKegg, Saad, Colborne's etc. It is the way of this board and fans. I am lucky enough to get to watch Spooner, Hamilton and Knight, (haven't seen Koko yet) and see above-average OHL players with the exception being Hamilton.

But to not want to move these 3rd line projects for a NHL elite forward is a mistake every time. Until Knight makes the NHL or the AHL and puts up number to suggest he is better than the guys there he is simply a prospect who isn't even in the top 40 of the OHL point leaders. If his size and drive to the net isn't putting up points to crack the top 40 in the OHL, how does that game translate to the NHL with bigger, stronger, faster defenders?
