I can't imagine Tootoo going to Winnipeg for the same reasons as already mentioned. In terms of value, I would think it would be a little more balanced if a team got Tootoo and a 3rd for a 7th.

If you're the kind of person who takes things too seriously, HF Boards is not the place for you. It was a joke. Let it slide. They are made everyday about every city, team, and player. Shots at Toronto, Calgary, Crosby, the Sedins, etc. can easily be found elsewhere.
Giving up a second may be a bit much, change it to a 3rd and a 6th, but Detroit has a numbers problem and will likely have to attach a draft pick if they want a quick trade. Moving down 80 picks from a low round Detroit pick to a likely high round Winnipeg pick should be close value wise for 2 years that Tootoo has remaining. Winnipeg needs energy and has the cap room to not have to send a player back. I think Winnipeg may have room on the 50 contracts limit as well.
Tootoo may not be the solution for Winnipeg, but what he brings to the game along with his time in Nashville would be positives. I believe he had more points (30) in 11-12 than all of Winnipeg and Detroits bottom 6 players.
Plus I think Detroit would take some pleasure trading him back to a team in Nashvilles division.
It will be interesting to see what Detroit does in the next week or so, maybe some "injuries" will occur an someone will go on IR.
Um just speaking from experience of losing a loved one but you see, hear or are touched by reminders of them everyday, regardless of where you are.
I will have to agree to disagree with your opinion that he would regress just by moving back to Winnipeg.
Regardless it is not a feasible real life situation to get so much return for a low draft pick.
Definitely meant reminders not remainders
And your right on both points I just think the risk is a little more pronounced in someone in his situation. I doubt Tootoo would be willing to take that risk with his health and I doubt the Jets or Wings would put him in that position. Again just my opinion.
i dont get why some people act like theres no chance in hell that he conquered his demons. believe it or not gang, some people actually beat alcoholism and or drug addiction. so who are you to say he hasnt? who are you to say that he needs to be protected, guarded, or baby sat? most of you have probably never even met the man. but you can say what is or isnt in his best interest..........get the **** over yourselves. you probably cant even run your own life, yet you know whats best for jordan.........
as far as the trade offer goes, i doubt detroit would do it.
