My biggest issue is that they just don't seem to be tapping into that extra gear consistently enough. It's one thing to play so-so during the regular season, but it's the playoffs now.
This series really is lacking when you compare it to most of the other series going on. Not much drama, no rivalry, a team that backed into the playoffs. Outside of teh Devils playing absolute balls to the wall during the first period of game 1 and third period of game 3, this series has been ****ing bland. Where is the intensity?

That's what I mean. They didn't show up a lot in the regular season, and still finished with a pretty damn good record. I don't think they aren't taking Florida seriously. I don't wanna say they are not. You can't not show up in the playoffs. The Devils did a good job at the end of the season.
They could have won that Tampa Bay game, and sat back, and still finished in 6th as long as they lost one of the last 4 games in OT. Ottawa would have had to beat us, and they would have won the tiebreaker.
They came out, and didn't sit back, and get blown out by the Islanders like Pittsburgh did twice in a row after clinching their spot. Won their first game in the Joe since 96 when they didn't even have to. I expect them to come out, and play a little more seriously. One way or the other I didn't expect a sweep or even a 5 game series.
