Not Helen(love her or hate her) is a reporter. Those articles she's done slamming AEG and Kings ownership wouldn't have happened if she had the La Kings insider job
My problem with NotHelen (and yeah I loathe her) is that she never presented the other side of the story and what Dean was trying to do during the first 4 or 5 years.

She just wants to write about the big splash deal, or the superstar player on the roster. The way the Kings have gone about doing things over the last 6 years was just way to dull for her to write about in a positive manner. One of the reasons I was so happy the Kings won the Stanley Cup was the big plate of crow she had to eat.

True.

But also think of how people want their news. People don't want cheery and "here's what we are doing".
People want controversy and emotional rage.

Sincerely

TMZ, Access Hollywood, and Fox News

I think the only writer who is really going to do what you are referencing who covers the Kings is Quisp.... Maybe Surely and Scribe

Don't call me Shirley.

Quisp would be great, but he would have to do a lot of editing through the Kings/NHL filter. Depends on how badly he needs a job.

I can think of someone else who would be great for the Kings gig who also posts here regularly and is now writing for Ducks prospects on HF.

So is it wrong that this could possibly be more entertaining than most of Hammond's work?

Not to take away from what Rich did with the blog, but we're definitely getting spoiled with these guys writing while they look for a replacement. It's definitely a good strategy to keep readers coming back while we wait.
