It was a career year for many Pittsburgh players:

James Neal set a new career high in Goals (40), Assists (41) and Points (81)

Pascal Dupuis set a new career high in Goals (25), Assists (34) and Points (59), as well as having the league's longest point streak at 17 games

Chris Kunitz set a new career high in Goals (26) and Points (61)

Jordan Staal set a new career high in Assists (25) and Points (50)

Evgeni Malkin set a new career high in Goals (50)

Kris Letang set a new career high in Goals (10)

Matt Cooke set a new career high in Goals (19)

Marc-Andre Fleury set a new career high in save percentage and wins

WOW!

Petr Sykora finished the season with more goals (21) than did Jaromir Jagr (19). Even if you take into account the games Jagr missed due to injury, I still doubt anyone would have predicted that.

Also, Clarkson finishes the season with 30 goals, which is extremely hard to believe even though I watched every one of them...

That's a sign that everything's clicking and everything's going right. But it also means that some people are overperforming and will likely have less points next season.

wait, what? I thought the League hates the Flyers.

would love to see how many of Malkin's assists were primary.

Giroux 16th in ES pts? Not impressive for a supposed top 3 player

Chicago did not record a single shutout this season.

There are 5 Devils in the top-10 for SH points, including 3 in the top-5.

There is no other team with more than one in the top 10 and no other team with more than two in the top 20.

Reality though, Crosby is a beast.

Max Pacioretty was 4th in the league in even strength goals, only behind Stamkos, Malkin and Gaborik.

The Bruins are awesome when playing with any kind of a lead.

23-2-0 when leading after the first.
32-0-0 when leading after the second.
31-5 when scoring first.
38-0-0 when leading by 2 goals at any point.

All of those are league-high numbers for winning percentage. I really wish they'd score first more often...

IDK if this is still true but for the better part of the season, the Oilers had a winning record against playoff teams. They also were like 5-0 at one point against teams that were first in the league. Chicago, Washington, and Vancouver were 3 teams we beat while they were perched at 1st

Jimmy Howard has 6 shut outs this season; all at home. Meanwhile, Ty Conklin recorded the only one on the road.

Crosby had 29 assists in 22 games, Ovechkin had 27 assists in 78 games.

Yeah, I know, Anaheim/Finnish players/Ovechkin sucked this year but still pretty impressive stats for Teemu and Sid.
They're tied. Both have 66 points.

Over last 4 years, only Mikko Koivu has scored over 66 points, twice (not including Selanne). 67 in 08-09 and 71 in 09-10.

That's bad, and that's awesome, respectively.

And with Bowman resigning Emery, he doesn't look like wanting to fix that. Or maybe this was just a sophomore slump for Crawford.

I honestly think the only reason you're in this thread is to bash the Flyers

Crosby finished the season with the highest PPG since Mario Lemieux in 2000-2001.

Crosby is on a 138 point pace. Lemieux was on a 145 point pace.

Scott Gomez has 2 goals and 11 points in 38 games.
He has a 7.3 M cap hit which it 2.3 M higher than the second highest paid forward for the Canadiens (Plekanec) who has 17 goals and 52 points in 81 games.
