Fowler is being way overhyped considering that the way things are going, he will have half a season to make an impact. No way he leap frogs some of these other guys.
This is probably the hardest to pick. Can't go wrong with Fowler, Bogo, or Johnson.
But I'll go with the guy that was most impressive last year. That's Shattenkirk. I can't go with Buff since Canada/Russia/Czech teams have tremendous team speed on the wings.
I know he's not the best player here, but there's no way Jack Johnson isn't on this team, at the very least as the 7th D-man. He always steps up in international play, and he's basically Captain America. He's so dedicated to Team USA, I just see no way at all that he's left off, even though I think Shattenkirk, Fowler, and Bogosian will be better, and possibly Faulk.
As a side note, the US has really started producing some really quality blue-liners. McDonagh, Carlson, Fowler, Shattenkirk, Bogosian, Yandle, Gardiner, Jones. I think our defense has more offensive ability than our offense does.
I think Fowler will be the clear winner by then but this is coming from a Ducks fan.
Right now Johnson is the clear winner.
I like Fowler alot and would want him over say Yandle but JJ brings too much to the table and really showed how good he can be in his stint in Columbus last year.
