7th Son
Somewhere in Time

Maybe we should have a wicker man banner

Number and Piece both have some killer tracks, but aren't as good from a whole album perspective as 7th Son or Brave New World, IMO. Brave New World is really the one album of their past several that stands out as being really good (although their latest isn't bad).

I also like Loneliness of a Long Distance Runner, so maybe I just enjoy the more drawn out, conceptual Iron Maiden pieces more than you do. *shrug*

Early Maiden had a mystical, historical aura for most of the songs. I just didn't feel that with a lot of the stuff on SIT, though there was more of it on 7th. To me a runner's loneliness is kind of a bland subject compared to Egyptian gods and soldier's dying on the battlefield etc.

I haven't listened to BNW nearly as much as the old albums which were in constant rotation in the 80s and probably informed a lot of my own writing/playing style.

I like the banners. I think every one should have the last image of Nate Dogg smiling.

I know I'm late with an idea, but I always thought it would be funny to have caps players on return of the jedi characters. Talking about jumping though the regular season at light speed and rolling 4 lines. Then have the Lando in the falcon asking why teams are scared of us in the playoffs. Then Ackbar yelling "its a trap"....

I don't know sounds funny while drinking beers.
