Hilarious shootout!

Jon Champion wasn't pulling shots. "One of the worst penalty shootouts you will ever have witnessed."

I believe he actually said "one of the worst penalty shootouts you will ever have to sit through" which is even more accurate.

3 straight misses, 4 saves, 3 goals. And on one of goals DDG had his hand on

Cuisance is looking like he could be in the first team this season, though may be not until the winter break. With Kramer, Zakaria & Benes ahead of him there won't be too much PT; but he gets absolutely glowing reviews in every friendly he plays. And he reminds me of watching Dahoud in friendlies a year or two before he broke through for good. God damn would it be cool to see that young BMG midfield stay together; especially with Neuhaus in the system to. Rotating those 5 through 3 spots could be a world class unit if BMG returns to the CL spots and start to challenge for the title so that they stay together for more than a year or two.

With Elvedi, Oxford, Doucoure & Hanraths growing around the vets Vestegaard & Kolodziejc; BMG could similar boast of a top class young defense in a few years. So hopefully that attack can stay healthy and Vilalba continues to shine so that they can get back into the CL and secure the cash to get another young attacker to help with Rafael's aging.

Midfield (cm or dm really) for sure. He's composed but intense, he's got very good technical ability and a calmness on the ball, he reads the game extremely well, he can cover a ton of ground, has a massive workrate and is a ****ing brick **** house. He'll excel most anywhere though with those attributes; I just think he'll influence the game most in a positive way from the middle of the pitch.

Just feel like pointing out that other than Martial (who's obv playing like he has something to prove), United's best player in preseason has been Andreas Pereira. Granada had a crap season but that loan seems to have done wonders for him. With our lack of players at CM, he should def. see some gametime. Very excited about him.

Yea he was solid. Didn't really stand out in terms of wowing, but didn't look at all out of place.

I'd say Mkhi has also had a good preseason when on the ball, which is a good sign for the season.

I thought McTominay played well yesterday too. I think I'd rather see him out on loan though as he looks ready for senior football but would hardly get any thing year.

- I'm starting to get ****ing pissed at Poch's misuse of Onomah. He is not a CAM or a winger. It's as if he payed no attention to the U20 tournament.

- N'Koudou gave Alves a few good challenges. He seems to have become quite a bit stronger.

- Janssen was his usual invisible self.

- Oakley-Boothe looked fine the few times he had the ball.

- Ben Davies had a fantastic game.
Only watched the highlights, but to say Pastore scored on a CA is slightly misleading in my opinion. Spurs should not lose the ball that easily in midfield in that situation. KWP is "cheating" trying to get a head start attacking, but due to the clumsiness in midfield Spurs lose the ball and Pastore is free.

I'm not sure if KWP should be that aggressive in that situation, but that situation should have been sorted by Onomah and N'Koudou (I think it was). The rest of the defense is also completely out of position. Vertonghen far too high and CCV gets pulled to the left. Got to blame 4-5 other players before you get to KWP in my opinion.

Pre-season football lol, Bayern literally left Batshuyai unmarked in the 6 yard box on a corner.

He had a terrific game, best yet. Hummels also regonized that he's getting better by the day in an interview. Very happy with his early impressions.

Has he played more 6 or 8?

Yeah, if he's in there for David I'd rather shift Cahill into the middle and slide Christensen over to LCB.

I didn't see the Milan game, but in the other two, I'd say it was a bit of a hybrid, probably closer to an 8 than to a typical 6. Definitely had enough freedom to move forward and get involved offensively when he saw space. Scored a good goal against Arsenal, as well, that was wrongly called back for offside (which wasn't even close). He's losing a few balls still, but he's adjusting pretty quickly.

Onomah, Dier and Dele with a shambolic first half.

Roma 3 - 2 Spurs

Embarassingly lazy performance from Spurs. Clown of a referee didn't help either. Not relying on his own judgment for a very arguable penalty and later missing the obvious one.

Anthony Georgiou was quite dazzling though.

It's not the kits itself, it's that they're too similar. Light blue and white...ish. It's hard to distuingish them apart.
