Trine 2

Anyone else as excited for this as I am? I absolutely loved the 1st one I always tell people to buy this game on the Steam thread whenever it goes on sale, the second one comes out on Dec 7th for 15 bucks on Steam(it comes out later in the month on XBLA and PSN). I'm super stoked. For anyone who doesn't know what Trine is, it's a fantasy themed puzzle/platformer where you can switch between 3 characters. A Knight, A Thief and a Wizard. Each character has it's own abilities to in order to solve the puzzles.

I'm excited, I loved the first one. Possibly my favorite puzzle/platformer of all time. I might have to put all my other games on the back burner so I can play Trine 2 when it comes out.

Finland's game industry is doing good!

I just saw this game in tv yesterday and looked the youtube videos... looks amazing! I think I'm going to buy it just for the graphics. I guess it's best played with multiple players 2-3? but single game should work also with the change of characters. ??

Release dates:

PC = already selling
XBOX Live = 21st December, maybe 1200 pts?
PS3 = 20th December in North America, Europe probably around same days

Metacritic, PC version:

Metascore 87/100
User score 9.1

Yeah, the graphics are amazing for a 2D style platformer.

Is Co-Op online only or can it be played on the same console?

In Xbox there is plenty of options:

Online game
Xbox LIVE party game
Host a public game
Host a private game
Local Multiplayer game

So at least with xbox you can also play co-op with same console...and I'm pretty sure in PS3 also.

Never heard of it before now, but it looks awesome.

I'll definitely pick it up for PS3 if I can co-op offline.

MM, if you like puzzle/platformers you'll love it. If the 360 version has offline co-op, I see no reason why the PS3 wouldn't. I don't know about the PC version myself, just played it by myself.

I personally think Trine 2 should have won Indie GotY, I know a lot of people loved Bastion but I like Trine 2 a lot more. If you like the genre, definitely pick up the first one as well. They're pretty similar.

Good enough for me!

I'm gonna get it.

Is it available in the PS store? I can only find the first one.

Edit: never mind, I found it.
