I had to laugh earlier today when one of the hosts of NHL Live mentioned Brodeur as the goaltender he would take in a one-game, all on the line situation. The guy has turned into a choker in his old age.

When I heard that I was immediately swept as far back as when they led the Avs 3-2 in the 2001 Finals. Colorado won game 6 in NJ and 7 in Denver. Good times.
I didn't even watch OT. I did watch the final 2 periods, then saw Marty give up the tying goal and was waiting for the epic collapse and eas expecting Weiss to get the winner before the end of the 3rd. But it went to OT and I only cared to see who the Flyers were getting and figured I could check that first thing in the morning and went to bed.
So with all that said: Congrats Jersey. Now come get your ***** kicked in Round 2.
For Round 2: Go KINGS, Go PREDS, Go FLYERS, Go CAPS (flyers struggle against rags)
I actually wanted Florida to win. It's been so long since that franchise has had anything to cheer about. Plus I don't want Parise to sign back with the Devils

I'm with you. I wanted the Panthers to be swept, but when they kept fighting, it gave me more to respect about them. And seeing their fans get so excited about the game is good for their franchise, and the NHL, I think. I hope they remain competitive for at least a year or two longer.
PS: it was kind of cute to hear the crowd just go ape-**** every time a Panther skated with the puck into the offensive zone, and nearly fall completely out of their chairs whenever they put a shot on goal. I think it's because they just aren't used to playoff hockey, but it's great to see that rather than a crowd like Ottawa's, who seem to sit on their hands throughout the game.

Disagree with that part. Remember the game against Boston in '09? I was about to throw up I was so tense. Any shot on net I was freaking out, and any shot against I was freaking out. I mean, one team was about to go home. It's a tense situation.
Yep, it's tense in OT. Guess I should've been more specific...I was also talking about regulation play (I started watching at the outset of the 3rd period). To be fair, the Panthers were attacking a *ton* in the 3rd, so they were generally exciting to watch.
