Cory did not do much to prove his worth as a starter tonight. He looked rattled and off his game mentally.
I don't think he looked rattled, but just didnt play great. 1st goal should have been stopped. 2nd goal is questionable too, but like the 3rd there was not any defence support to clear puck away from net.
His value can't be that high, I heard he was once walking on train tracks and a train was coming. He didn't have anywhere to go and didn't know what to do, so he did what he does best. He let it go between his legs.
But in all seriousness I can see him going to Ottawa for Silvferberg or Toronto for Phaneuf
Luongo is still getting traded, he just bought himself to the offseason
This season will be a great year for Schneider to grow; since he's all but declared the number 1, he'll learn how to handle the pressure of another number 1 guy ready to step in if he faults.
I think it's smart to hold onto Luongo and push for a run this year.

I agree, and Schneider has hardly looked horrible this year, he's just being compared to one the best goalie in the league ATM playing out of his mind.
Lightning and Panthers were absolutely duking it out for Luongo today, as did Phildelphia the night before, and Toronto, NYI, ampa (again) and Washington the night before that. Which brings me to the newest edition of the...

They both need Luongo badly but both Tallon and Yzerman would rather be nailed to a roof and pissed on than ever admit it, so it aint happening.
I know Yzerman wanted a young goalie and was averse to trading for Luongo because of that, but Schneider to Tampa for something around Connolly + Garon might make sense.
Hoping to win games 6-5 is not a really good strategy imo.

Especially against a team of Florida's caliber. A contender Tampa is not.
