Well, you guys are lucky that the other two INTs were dropped. Unfortunate for Stanford but they were both easy picks, too. Both defenses were fun to watch.

Forget Watkins. He's likely gone in the first 10. I think Evans is in the 12-16 range. Lee in the 16-22 range.

Need one of them. Need 2 guards - 1 in place of Winters, 1 in place of Colon.

Need a TE. Need another corner.
You guys may be stuck with Amaro/Ebron if you don't trade up. I think all three top WRs go in the top 17 picks.

edit: Funny enough -- Walter mocks Amaro to you. I should have looked before I posted.

Walter's newest mock has the Giants taking Mack: http://walterfootball.com/draft2014.php

Wouldn't mind Greg Robinson (OT) falling to us, too. We should have our choice of very good players.

Does anyone really expect Wilson to ever play again?

I was led to believe (by a co-worker who's basically a football encyclopedia) that spinal stenosis is a death sentence to a player's NFL career.

Wouldn't mind Amaro. Wonder if VJax will be cut in Tampa. There were rumblings earlier in the year. Hiring of Lovie may change things.

Need a big time WR. That is a top priority. Doesn't matter how it's done.

Wonder if the Jets look to get MJD too. His price is relatively low.

Get Brandon Albert to sure up Geno's blind side.

To be honest, an offseason that looked like this, would be amazing (and doable):

Cut Cro, Santonio, and Sanchez - 50 mill in overall cap space to begin the season.

Draft Evans or Lee in the 1st - I believe that they'll move up to ensure they get one of the two.

Sign Brandon Albert. Look for a buy low on another guy to challenge Winters - Oher?

Sign Boldin. 2 year deal. He's 33, he's not in the market for a big time contract.

Sign MJD. 2 year deal worth 7-8/per.

Sign Tim Jennings to play opposite Milliner.

Try and sign Fred Davis. Shouldn't be too expensive.

Rest of the money should be given for raises to players like Wilk.

It depends on the why and how.

Its not neccessarily a death sentance.

Its just a compression on the spinal column.

That compression can be from swelling, can be from a slipped or moved disc, etc.

They can correct a lot of it in surgery.

Also, a lot of time between now and the draft. Evans didn't have the best bowl game. A few other guys had their stock boosted, Evans not so much.

It'll likely come down to his 40 time and character eval. If he runs in the high 4.4's Evans will likely be gone by 18. If he's in the 4.5 range I think Evans will be there definitely by 15, maybe even by 18.

One guy I really like is Jarvis Landry from LSU. If we miss the boat on the first 3 WR's and get Amaro/Ebron in the 1st, I'd love to get Landry in the 2nd.

Finally, one more option i'm seeing is that the Bill's might let Jarius Byrd go.

We desperately need talent.

Byrd, Evans, Lee, etc. We need at least 2 big time play makers. We have options. I think we'll see Idzik make some quality moves.

Guy had 5 YPC in his first NFL season and dominated punt returns.

It's not his fault TC and the coordinators have become clueless when it comes to integrating young players into a lineup/game plan. He had a really bad game to start this year...and then the coaches turned on him. So much for a vote of confidence.

If he can overcome the injury he'll be a good player.

Spinal stenosis is a narrowing of the spinal column. It's generally only revealed through a neck/back injury. If they're going in there and manually widening the spinal column with surgery, I would be extremely wary. I think that's why it's a death sentence, the surgery has to be very risky in and of itself, and to think that you can play a professional contact sport with a fused spine is disconcerting.

No, its not a narrowing of the spinal column. Its a narrowing of the canal.

It is swollen, that is what is compressing it and forcing it to narrow.

They think with time the swelling will subside, and they can fix the slipped vertebrae, which will give the spinal canal more room, and would probably prevent repeat injuries.

No posts here about Gilbrides retirement? I thought there would be a non-stop party in this thread

No more shotgun draws on third-down!

Well, two SB rings and some of the best offensive seasons in franchise history.

I liked the fresh start, but Gilbride and Fewell weren't the problems as much as Reese's roster choices ANC draft selections.

Eli needs to grow up and take the next step. He butchered the offense this season with help from a terrible line. Hard for me to blame Gilbride.

Shot gun draw.

Run it twice for minimal gains and then throw a prayer 50 yards out.

That's something I am overjoyed in not seeing next season. Don't get me wrong, the higher-ups and players also screwed the pooch, but let's not pretend Gilbride had a versatile playbook.

And Brandon Jacobs retires.

That's sad. He got a bad rep from some fans here in the last few years, but I always loved him. He ran the ball as hard as anyone else did this season.

I think it'll be a bit before another Giants RB hits 60 TDs.

Thanks for everything, Brandon

A source close to the situation said that former Giants assistant Mike Sullivan, recently fired as Tampa Bay's offensive coordinator along with coach Greg Schiano, is a leading candidate to replace Gilbride. The team is expected to bring Sullivan in for an interview.
The Giants' power play is gonna suck.

It's amazing how stupid Craig Carton is. I can't believe this moron is defending Gilbride. He knows absolutely nothing about football.
