I just wanted to say I was impressed with the team effort from Carolina. Feels like the game should have had a scrap or two more, but your team made the Blues look tired.
I think McDonald going down really took the emotional wind out of the sails....but looks like a shoulder (not concussion) so hopefully nothing long-term there.
Skinner is fun to watch. He got trucked a couple times, but still there at the game end with a high skill play.
The Blues looked tired. I know a few guys are banged up. But credit to the Canes for playing a hard game and exploiting that. It was a man's game last night.

Please win the President's Trophy. And the Stanley Cup. Please.
15 goals for the "horrible" player. One player has 20. Hmmm.
Plus, those 15 came while missing 15 games for a 20+ pace after taking a pay cut.
And, he skates funny for a full 60 minutes until the horn, win or lose.
Speaking of horns, he's horned his way onto the PP when needed and that just seems icky despite the points.
Furthermore, his ability to be plugged into any line just means that that suckage can be versatile. That it still happens is proof Muller found Mo's stash of meth and acid in his desk and is tripping on the same cocktail or getting ominous late-night phone calls from PK instructing him when and where to play his boy. Karmanos must go!
To top it all off, too many of his goals are confusing, close-in-to-the-crease-fight-for-position-garbagey-looking things that come from base lunchpail effort and not the pretty, spinny, dangly ones that are the hallmark of a real NHL-er with sick dirty skillsets because everyone knows that all NHL teams are loaded with at least 6 or 9 forwards who can deke and juke with the best of any X-box phenom in a total mirror of reality. Totally.
And above everything else including the top it all off and if anyone else needs incontrovertable proof of his horribleness well here it is, according to my Whiff-tracker 3000 he leads the team in forechecking hits-to-whiff percentage per game at 0.37. I know, I know...shocking.

I'd be totally happy if the goal and points output stayed directly proportional to the amount of irony and sarcasm heaped on the team in GDT's like this one.
Amen to that

You do realize you are showing your age with this post. Most young, technologically hip posters are now using the Whiff-tracker 7000. Much more technologically advanced and shows that LaRose's number is more like 0.3742578856.
Still don't understand how we can beat the 1st place team in the West, sweep the bruins, yet get swept by the Islanders. This team, just never know what you are getting.[/QUOTE]
I was thinking the same thing last night. I don't get it either.

Reminds me of the 2003 team. Not as much later in the year but earlier for sure
In reflecting on going winless vs. the Islanders this season, the Canes' overall struggles with 5 of their 6 future division foes came to mind. I was startled to find that they're 3-13-3 through 19 games
against the Devils, Rangers, Penguins, Flyers and Tavares. I hope re-alignment never gets approved.

My guess is that the Bruins and Blues get their offense by committee, which we are capable of containing, whereas the Isles have one guy who pees all over our defense every time he steps on the ice.
I was at the game. Section 310. Didn't see any of you around, and I was looking. I was the guy that almost fell over the railing, security had to grab me, anyone see that?
