The "Jordan's better" chant was unoriginal and with all due respect to Jordan....... Eric has been and will always be the better player.

Meh, I have no problem with the chant. It's the fans having a little fun, it wasn't a personal attack on Staal and if it keeps the fans into the game, then no big deal. You can only yell "Let's go jets" (or whatever) for so long. Even the Canes players got a kick out of it and were saying it in the locker-room after the game when Eric was being interviewed.

Don't see that being that much different than when some fans yell the goalie's name and then say "you suck" at the end.

As someone who watched the Jets alot early on this season and was actively rooting for them partly cause of nostalgia reasons.. the other was the crowd...I wasn't here for the Canadian elitist drama so when I watched a game in Winnipeg, I loved it.... Reminded me of the playoffs...

The fact is, every crowd in the NHL hates penalties being called on their team so that's a non issue to me.

The chants can be funny, the ones that annoy me are the goalie ones tho cause I heard goalie chants when the guy was playing great lol.

Does the crowd make me want the Canes to beat the Jets more? Yeah but I don't hate them, I just like seeing home fans go home unhappy lol.
