That's all spin. He said he would wear it out of spite, not that he would wear it to spite them. You put that part in yourself to hear what you want to hear, and so is everyone else.
I like Horcoff as much as the next person. But he did not say that.

I think this was the straw that broke the Oiler fan's back. I agree with many of the posters who say he is sayin it to spite the league, but like I mentioned in a previous post, spiting the league is also, by extension, spiting the owners....the owners who pay this jackass 6 million a year or whatever.
And I absolutely agree with this categorizing posters point that you make. We know exactly what we're pissed off about. It's been building for years with big payments and poor on ice play. If Horcoff just kept his mouth closed it would still be status quo as far as he's concerned. But his remarks have even offset me into an absolute raging maniac that wants to shove a puck up his donkey butt.
It took you awhile Horcoff, but I'm done defending you in any way, shape or form on these boards, with my friends, and with my family. Good going Mon Captaine.
Horcoff was asked why he was wearing an Oilers jersey instead of NHLPA.
He said he didn't have an NHLPA jersey, and that the Oilers (not the league or Bettman,) didn't take it back in time, so he will wear it to spite them.
There is no spin. he said it. he is spiting the team that pays him way more than he is worth, gives him prime ice time despite his performance, and that has the most loyal fans in the league.
Flippant or not, it shows he has no respect for the crest.
I havne't been on this portion of HFBoards for awhile and decided to see what was beign discussed without hockey.
Oh look, we're still bashing Horcoff, and this time for made of hatred him, of things he implyed and sarcasm that we can all hear through an article.

So where is it that it says that he is smiling beyond the bolded? Feel free to PM me when you find that part to set the record straight, if/when you do I will bump this thread with your version of the events being backed by proof. If not then it was your interpretation and based on what I've read, a wrong one.
