For Ukraine, UEFA gave them a list of acceptable cities they could host Champions and Europa league matches so I dont see why the national team would be under different rules.

Of course, this can all change, already, Dnipropetrovsk is off the list and they were forced to move their match to Kyiv.

Their other games are in Lviv, as far from the trouble areas as you can possibly be

Dick Advocaat is the new Serbia manager, team with loads of potential but pernial underachievers, even more than Russia imo

Ukraine will be able to play in their home country, Israel will likely have to play in neutral venue (Cyprus?)

Slightly OT, but has FIFA gotten rid of the August friendly date?

Could be complicated to find a good location for Israel games then since those games need to also be safe from intereference from antisemitic protesters.

Still some time until the games start. Game would probably be in Haifa, which is outside the range of Hamas

A couple rockets from Lebanon fell short and did not make it to Israel today. But ordinarily Haifa and Kiryat Shmona would be fine. If need be teams could fly to Amman and bus into Israel.

Though Kiryat Shmona's Europa League home game on August 7th is currently scheduled to be in Cyprus. Maccabi Tel Aviv's game on August 5th is also set for Cyprus.

Yeah we are not going to Israel when rockets are being fired from both the north and south.

Albania would definetly not vote against it. And i think Switzerland is more stacked with Kosovo talent than Albania is.

Did Spain vote [against] for Gibraltar to play international football?

They "fixed" the Euro qualifier draw to make sure Gibraltar wouldn't be in a group with Spain because Spain would have forfeited those matches rather than recognise Gibraltar. That tells you everything about the Spanish attitude regarding Gibraltar's participation.

And they still allowed the participation of Gibraltar, even though an important federation like Spain is against it. Thats why I think it wont matter if Serbia or potentially Switzerland will be against Kosovo.

Eh, they have a golden generation that's gunna start breaking through, but I don't think they've squandered that much talent before because they've just started to produce attackers like Markovic to go with all of those excellent defensive players they pump out. So I'm not sure the chronic underachievers label really fits them so far.

Like the signing though, they blooded a lot of youngsters last cycle and have a ton of talent starting to break through.

Cristiano has been left out of the Portugal squad. I thought he was healthy again? Considering he played the full game against Cordoba on monday.

Some youngsters received their first selection. Ruben Vezo and Andre Gomes (both Valencia), Bruma (Galatasaray), Ricardo Horta (Malaga), Ivan Cavaleiro (Deportivo)
