Currently 3-4 missions into campaign, I really like how did the upgrading compared to wol. Being able to change abilities/evolutions in between missions is really nice, compared to wol, where if you picked one upgrade over the other you could have a more difficult time beating the game.
You will not be able to earn achievements.
You character level will not show correctly.
You will not be able to earn XP.

I don't really care about achievements or xp, but I was getting both. There was a period of time where I was getting notifications mid game about achievements being down. Whatever though, doesn't make the gameplay less fun.

Depends on what difficulty you are playing on. If you are just blazing through normal experiencing the game, then probably not, but if you bust your ass getting through on the hardest, I doubt you would want to go back and do it again That and having the memento that says "I did that" is always nice. If it is available to be gotten, why not get it?
The missions of this expansion, SO much more varied. Really feels like Warcraft 3.
My only complaint would be the dialog... It's cheesy.
Came here to say exactly this, agree on all counts. The dialogue is cheesy, the voice acting is good though. At least the gameplay is interesting, the missions are fresh and the new units work well. Time will tell if it is on the same level as Brood War though.
From what I hear, the campaign is EZMODE even on Brutal, partially because you don't have to inject larva - it automatically spits out 5 or 6 larva for you. Pretty stupid - I can see doing that on easy or normal, but why make it so absurdly easy even on the most challenging setting? People are saying that ~silver/gold league Zerg players will be able to breeze through Brutal without much problem.

Playing it on normal at the moment, and it's incredibly easy. I'll probably do a brutal campaign clear afterwards.
I actually hate not having to inject larva on my hatcheries. I also don't like how there is a cooldown on laying a creep tumor from a queen. Since I'm accustomed to multiplayer I have a designated queen hotkey and they always stay with my hatches. In the campaign, you should always have them with your army laying creep tumors. They also auto-transfuse.
I still need to finish the WoL campaign. I never got much further than the Zeratul mission "In Utter Darkness" which was awesome. I enjoyed the Zeratul missions so much that when I got back to the normal Raynor ones, I wasn't as excited to play.

Give it a couple years and you'll have a whole campaign of Zeratul missions.
I couldn't ever get into the WoL missions, they were just boring/generic to me. I picked up HotS yesterday and played the campaign for like 5 hours. Really enjoying it. I think it's just because I prefer Zerg to Terran...I did find all the WoL cut Scenese on youtube and watch those so I wouldn't miss out on any story.

They also carved the HotS story to make sure you didn't run into some of the issues WoL had with the story getting jumbled up when you don't keep the main storyline up with the side quests.
Btw, one of the missions is a tip of the hat to one of the most popular custom maps in WoL.

I am pretty much brand new to Starcraft 2 and the community despite owning the game since it came out. I played against the AI a bit and then it collected dust. Started it back up a week or 2 ago, and am enjoying it since I have a lot of friends that now play. I still suck but I'm getting there.
My APM is around 130 or so, and I've managed to keep my supply cap around 1:00. I still have to learn counters and get better at scouting and using the maps but that will come with games played.

That's a really good APM if you say you suck. My APM has only been over 100 for a few months and now i'm Diamond for some reason...
