I wish I was older to truly appreciate Jagr with the Pens. The city (and me) tries to pretend they hate Jagr, but he's such a fantastic player. I love watching him play to this day. One of the best ever IMO.

Increased his own record of points in season openers. What a performance tonight!

If he played in NHL 2008-2011 he would have had a chance for #2 all time regular season points. Great great player!

It's only one game but boy, he whipped it out tonight. Philly could have used him today LOL. Selanne and him might play forever. Why not, if they can still produce.

Prime Jagr would murder this league. Jagr is easily a top 10 G.O.A.T... and the European GOAT.

Indeed. Such a shame he went to Russia.

He said he should get better as the season wears on.

Can't wait for all the haters when he doesn't wear down this season and finishes in the top 10 in scoring. He has so much more left in the tank than some want to believe.

Decent player.

That is some serious resume for a guy who played all his games after the 80's. Highest scoring player who had started the career same time as he did. Without going to the KHL for a while he could be the second highest scoring player EVER. Only one in the top-17 to NOT start career in the 80's or earlier. The 18th being Selanne.

Great points. Jagr would easily have scored 2100 points if he had not left for Russia for 3 whole years.

Selanne and Jagr have obviously some of the 10 most impressive stats of all time, no doubt about it!

Not to mention all the lockouts Jagr has gone through, holding his totals back.

Send a message via AIM to NYR94
He was flying last night and drawing a lot of attention from Phoenix defenders which meant more room for his teammates.
